It doesn’t take long to realize QLI’s An Evening at the Fair is unique.

Framed beneath a hot air balloon that reaches from the floor to the ceiling of UNO’s Baxter Arena, An Evening at the Fair transforms a premier sports and event center into an unforgettable carnival atmosphere of thrills, excitement, and fun.

Since its inception in 2005, An Evening at the Fair was always meant to be different—a corporate fundraiser that defies all tradition of other corporate fundraisers. It trades formalwear for jeans and cowboy boots and t-shirts, silent auctions and by-the-numbers programs for thrilling games and guaranteed prizes, and the pretense of giving for one all-inclusive ticket that covers guests’ food and drinks all night. Held once every two years, each of QLI’s An Evening at the Fair events is bigger and more memorable than the last, drawing over 1000 attendees in 2016.

This year, amidst games like Wipeout, a Connect Four game that will test guests’ basketball form, and even a hilarious, soothsaying Zoltar machine, attendees will have a chance to learn about QLI from the source: QLI’s own team members, who proudly volunteer their time to hosting the night’s festivities.

In this way, not only does An Evening at the Fair offer a one-of-a-kind nightlife experience, it gives guests an unprecedented opportunity to see the passion and commitment of QLI’s mission, as well as the impact on the men, women, and families that QLI serves.

Indeed, that impact is enormous, with individuals and families traveling across the country to seek out QLI’s industry-leading brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program. From top to bottom, every aspect of QLI’s An Evening at the Fair benefits the company’s foundational therapy service, a program known as Life Path Services. Unique and transformative as a foundation for all of QLI’s clinical programming, the Life Path Services initiative asks–and answers–several key questions about every individual rehabilitation and care client: What drives them? What gives them purpose? How do they identify themselves and how does a catastrophic injury interfere with those values?

From that starting point, Life Path Services exert tremendous influence over an individual’s recovery plan. Every moment of rehabilitation and care is funneled toward rebuilding a life of purpose. Whether that means getting a student back to school, a parent back to their family, or a curious adventurer into new and exciting opportunities (like scuba diving off the shore of the Cayman Islands or semi-professional go-kart racing), QLI’s Life Path Services program is the engine for this monumental success.

At QLI’s An Evening at the Fair, you can empower the specialized care QLI provides, and be the rocket fuel that helps someone stop surviving and start thriving.
